Classes
I am currently teaching four classes under
the auspices of the Inyo County Office for Adult Education
(872-4150, ask for Susan):
- Camera
Technique and Composition
- Introduction
to B/W Photography and Darkroom Techniques
- Photography
Project Class
- Landscape
Photography of the Owens Valley and Eastern Sierras
The Camera
Techniques and Intro. To Darkroom are currently in session.
They will start again on April 24 and 26 respectively. Sign
up early because they fill quickly.
The Photography
Project Class and the Landscape Class start Monday, March
12 and Wednesday, March 14 respectively.
The goal
of the Camera Techniques and Composition class is to take
you from a point and shoot photographer into the
world of creative photography. You will be introduced to the
tools and techniques used by photographers to capture the
beauty and mystery of photography.
The goal
of the Introduction to B/W Photography class is to introduce
you to B/W photography; the materials and techniques for processing
and printing in B/W, and the camera techniques used to insure
that the image is properly recorded on the film.
The goal
of the Photography Project Class is to help the photographer
improve their technical skills and to help the photographer
develop the skills to communicate a personal photographic
view. You will work on a project of your choice to produce
a minimum of four 8x10 prints. The prints will be included
in a photography show of the class work (which I hope to display
in a business here in Bishop).
The goal
of the Landscape Photography class is to increase your knowledge
of landscape photography, with emphasis on improving visual
skills, learning the techniques and tools of the landscape
photographer. There will be four evening classes and three
Saturday morning field trips.
